Tahoma Splash O Blue

Hello and welcome to Rainier's Shadow Nigerian Dwarfs! My name is Brandee Green, and I hope you enjoy my page!

When I was a child, my neighbor down the road had goats and introduced me to the world of caprine care. I purchased my first nubian doe from them and proudly showed her in 4-H. "Pretty" was a pretty little doe who was mahogany in color but covered with creme moonspots. She was such a feisty doe and not a fan of being shown. My parents(mostly my mother) purchased a few more quality animals and we spent most of my middle school 6th grade summer hitting shows with our little herd of nubians. My mother purchased a lovely buckling and doeling from Goldthwaite Nubians when they were located in Boulder, Colorado. Unfortunately that following summer, my parents decided that 6am/pm milkings just weren't fitting in our schedule and dam raising was blasphemy so we sold our entire herd minus a couple pygmies we kept as pets.

So here I am nearly 15 years later and an adult. I've recently gotten out of the Army and have more time to spend with my family, animals, and projects. I have a wonderful almost 3 year old son who keeps his father and I on our toes, and loves the animals as much as I do.

We love our little home out in Roy and if we could change anything, it would be lot size! We are hoping to purchase more property that is just behind the current pasture. 1.2 acres just isn't quite enough room for a horse and 4(currently) nigerians. It's a little cramped, especially since we are still working on making the pasture, an actual pasture. With grass. And less rocks. A lot less rocks... lol! It will be nice once it's finished.

Bryce playing with the first babies born at RSND summer of 2016, out of KW Farms DJ Umbrella and by Mossey Valley PC Gold Rush. He LOVES the babies!

Thanks! Message sent.
